I freeze glass as it bends and reveal how glass panels interact with each other. For glass, the Angle of Repose is unique to the weight, height and temperature of the sections as they bend, join and become one.

I have been experimenting with glass since 1990 while also working on public policy in Washington DC.  As I reached partial retirement, I launched a website in 2026.  From 1990 to 1995 I made fountains and lights from glass.  I purchased my first kiln in 1995 and expanded into cold working in the early 2000s.  The Folding Walls series reflects work largely from 2000 to 2005. The Embraces series includes work from 2004 and later. I am largely self-taught and fascinated with how glass bends under heat and freezes in place.  I have developed a variety of techniques to achieve movement within a kiln firing.  I largely use scrap cullet from glass companies, most importantly Blenko in WV.
