The works in this exhibition will focus on the concept of shift, change or exchange in paradigm, position, direction, tendency, viewpoint, atmosphere, needs, dreams, schedules, interactions, environment, perspective...
McLean Project for the Arts is seeking mid-Atlantic artists (DC, VA, MD, PA, NJ, DE, WV) to submit works of any size, weight or medium (it’s online after all) that they feel relates to this concept. Time-based media are welcome, but must be limited to 3 minutes. Each artist may submit up to TWO works. The two jurors will create two separate exhibits from the same pool of submissions.
It will be interesting to see how the exhibits differ from one another. Each juror will choose two artists from their exhibit to honor with awards. An artist/juror talk will be held in July on Zoom, featuring the four award-winning artists and the two jurors, moderated by MPA Curator Nancy Sausser.
APPLICATION Entry must be made on-line via Submittable. There is no fee for submission. Visit our website for more information: www.mpaart.org
NOTIFICATION Whether your piece has been selected by the juror or not, a notification will be sent to you via email.
SALES A 25% sales commission will be retained by MPA on all sales resulting directly from the exhibit. Work will be sold at the price listed on the typed image checklist unless marked Not For Sale (NFS).
