Vulcan Gallery at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA

The United Nations has declared 2022 as the International Year of Glass.  The National Capital Art Glass Guild (NCAGG) is delighted to participate in an all-member show in the Vulcan Gallery at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA.

The show will run from May 28, 2022 – July 24, 2022. 

In keeping with Lorton’s approach and appreciation of arts education, the show will focus on the diversity of art glass techniques and share history/information on these techniques to enhance the viewer’s experience and appreciation of the exhibit. As you create your work, think about the techniques or inspiration that the public might find fun and informative. If you’re interested, consider documenting your project’s process with photos and notes. All styles of glasswork are accepted.  All members are invited to apply or you may join the Guild (www.ncagg.org) prior to applying.

On June 11 and July 9, 2022, the Workhouse has its regular 2nd Saturday events and invites our artists to provide workshops, demonstrations, lectures, etc. as part of that day.  We will also plan our Artists’ Reception and various guild activities for these times.

Although we are not required to staff the exhibit, those who have entries (and, of course, anyone in NCAGG who would like) should plan to attend the show on weekends during the length of the show. It would be fabulous if at least two or three show artists attend each weekend.
