The NCAGG is a group of glass artists of all persuasions primarily from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC as well as other states and countries. We come together to share ideas, learn from each other, and have fun. We are a non-profit group and we strive to educate our community about the glass arts, and promote our member-artists and their art to the whole world. In our website you will find information about:
Enjoy our website and if you are an established or aspiring glass artist, or a glass art lover, we would love you to join us.
On behalf of the board of directors of NCAGG I welcome you to our website. Since 2008, the 30th anniversary of our guild, we have expanded our guild's presence in the cultural scene of the greater Washington, DC area. We continue our annual members-only art shows and participate in the biennial Creative Craft Council Exhibition. In 2009 we added a show at Annmarie Garden, a Smithsonian Institution affiliated arts center, and in 2010 we celebrated the great diversity of glass art in the greater Washington, DC area and recognized the artists that inspire it, with a members-only show at the Art Gallery of the Glenview Mansion. In 2012 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Studio Glass Art Movement. Since 2008 our membership has almost doubled to over 180 members and our redesigned website keeps expanding - you can now enjoy the work of over 65 members in our ever growing gallery section. We invite you to enjoy the diverse creativity of our members and become a member of the National Capital Art Glass Guild. We look forward to seeing you in one of our events in 2013. Sherry G. Selevan
