NCAGG Shows News

 August 2 - 30, 2008: NCAGG Show at Arts Afire Gallery
Our annual juried show at the Arts Afire Gallery in Old Town Alexandria, VA had as its theme "The Green Side of Glass". The show was another tour de force by our artists-members. Over 20 NCAGG artists participated with more than 30 original works.

 September 21, 2008: NCAGG Glass Art Festival
Our Glass Art Festival is a free one-day festival, the only one of its kind in the US and features demonstrations of a wide variety of art glass techniques used by our members. This year it is held at the Lorton Arts Center in Lorton, VA during the weekend of the grand opening for their Workhouse Art Center. The Glass Art Festival is one of our guild's outreach events.

 October 5 - November 14, 2008: NCAGG Show at American Craftworks Gallery
This NCAGG members-only show opens on Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the American Craftworks Gallery in Annapolis, MD. It is juried by Kelly Richards, the gallery owner, and is chaired by member Viki Keating.

 October 11, 2008: NCAGG at the FOBA 2008
Once again NCAGG artists participate in the Festival of Building Arts at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. The Festival features many hands-on activities for all ages, including stained glass art. Participation in FOBA is one of the outreach events of our guild.

 November 2008 - February 2009: NCAGG Show at Annmarie Garden
A new NCAGG show at Annmarie Garden, a public sculpture park and arts center affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution, in Solomons, MD. This new spectacular show will be part of the annual Garden In Lights event at the center. Dates and details  to be announced.

 Spring 2009: NCAGG Show at Rossdhu Gallery
The annual NCAGG members-only juried show at the Rossdhu Gallery in Chevy Chase, MD. Dates and details to be announced (see Rossdhu Show 2007).

 May 5 - July 25, 2008: Bullseye’s e-merge 2008 Exhibition
The Bullseye biennial competition, aims to acknowledge the specialized field of kiln-glass sculpture and those who are rising through its ranks. NCAGG member Ruth Gowell participated this year.
