April 2010: NCAGG Show at Glenview Mansion
A new NCAGG juried show for NCAGG members only at the Art Gallery of the Glenview Mansion
in Rockville, MD. The show, titled "Glass Generations: Celebrating the Best in
Capital Glass", will showcase the tremendous diversity, creativity, and growth in
glass art in the greater Washington, DC area and honor glass artists key in the
development of this exciting art community. Details TBA. See announcement brochure and if you are not a member join NCAGG to participate.
October 1 - 31, 2009: NCAGG Show at
American Craftworks Gallery
This NCAGG members-only show at the American Craftworks Gallery in Annapolis, MD was
titled "Reflections II" and continued the 2008 show
theme. The show featured over 40 pieces of glass art by 23 NCAGG artists.
October 10, 2009: NCAGG at the FOBA 2009
Once again NCAGG artists participated in the Festival of
Building Arts at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. The Festival featured
many hands-on activities for all ages, including stained glass art. Participation in FOBA
is one of the outreach events of our guild.
May 30 - July 11, 2009: Creative Crafts Council 27th
Biennial Exhibition
Many NCAGG artists participated in the Creative Crafts Council 2009 exhibition. The CCC is an umbrella
organization sponsored by NCAGG and other fine craft guilds in DC, Maryland, and Virginia,
and organizes a biennial juried show open to local artists and members of its sponsoring
guilds. The exhibition was held at The Mansion at Strathmore in Bethesda, MD (see CCC
2007 exhibition).
May 1 - 30, 2009: NCAGG Show at Arts
Afire Gallery
The annual NCAGG members-only juried show at the Arts Afire Gallery in Old Town
Alexandria, VA had as its theme the "Light In Motion" (see also Arts Afire Show 2008 and 2007).
November 28, 2008 - February 15, 2009: NCAGG
Art Glass Exhibit at Annmarie Garden
A new NCAGG show at Annmarie
Garden a public sculpture park and arts center affiliated with the Smithsonian
Institution, in Solomons, MD. This new spectacular exhibit at the New Arts Building was
part of the annual Christmas Walk and Garden In Lights event at the park.
