Born in the fabulous borough of Brooklyn in the great city of New York, I am a first generation Cuban-American. In my former life I was a speech pathologist working with children and adolescents. In my present reinvention I am a newly emerging fused-glass artist (2001) who has benefited from the expertise of such well-known glass artists such as Jayne Persico and David Alcala among others.

My most recent accomplishments include a winning spot in the March 2009 Arts of Fire Gallery juried show and in October 2009 I will be presenting at the American Craftworks NCAGG Show in Annapolis, MD.

My work is inspired by light and color. As light is transmitted through colored glass one can sense time and movement. Nothing thrills me more than the anticipation I feel as I open a warm kiln and hold a newly formed piece of glass to the light.

The subtle hues and shapes in the glass come alive as your eye captures the dance of light, color, and movement that is the story I have told.
