I have been a "part-time" artist for over 30 years. The end of my career in the federal government in 2007 marked the beginning of a new full-time career, and the transformation of my work into the field of glass. As a caterpillar strives to transform into a butterfly, my goal is to transform simple glass into beautiful works of art.

I love to work with anything glass and try a variety of creative techniques - from deep plaster casting to two-dimensional fused glass works, and from unusual lamp-worked and fused jewelry to traditional and non-traditional leaded stained glass panels and lamps.

The juxtaposition of opposites permeates my work: cold steel and glass paired with ballet shoes; a whimsical light treatment with a portrait of a troubled woman; a traditional ornate candelabrum paired with neon lights; or the celebration of dance with the grim reaper.
